Jess Moskaluke (born in Langenburg, Saskatchewan) is a Canadian country pop singer. Her career began as a small town girl in Saskatchewan at the age of 15, entering local contests to share her music with the world, as so many aspiring artists do.
Where her story began…
Her fan base grew quickly with her first indie EP release Cover Up debuting at #5 on the iTunes Canada album charts. The first single “Amen Hallelujah” shook the Canadian radio airwaves and has received over a half a million views on YouTube.
The next few years to follow were a whirlwind for this country artist; a Tyler Ward Featured Artist who rocked the stage on a 45-city tour with his camp throughout North America in 2011.
2012 proved to be another exciting year, as she was chosen to represent Canada and perform at the Country Music Association (CMA) Global Artist Party at “The Stage” to help kick off CMA Fest 2012, in addition to her track “Go Big Or Go Home” featured on the hit TV show Heartland. Following signing with MDM Recordings Inc., in September 2012 she released her debut 8-track EP Catch Me If You Can. A medley of pop-infused country tracks. The title track and respective video was picked up by The Family Channel, airing in winter 2014.
John Wayne once said, “courage is being scared to death but saddling up anyway,” these words mean everything to Jess. She can still hear her father sharing this, encouraging her as she contemplated what the future might hold. Sadly, he passed away in 2006 after a lengthy battle with multiple sclerosis, but his memory lives on in her music.
An interesting aside, if it wasn’t for her parents support and encouragement, her future may have been very different as Jess confesses, “I would have been a parole officer!”
A proud resident of Langenburg, Saskatchewan, in February 2014 she participated in the Telemiracle CTV broadcast, which raised over $5 million dollars for the Kinsmen Foundation to aid Saskatchewan residents to access special needs equipment and medical assistance. A self-proclaimed nighthawk the road is her oyster; late night gigs and travel schedules do not faze this budding talent. When she is not on the road touring, Jess primarily splits her time between her home base in Saskatchewan (with her puppy Shya!), Canada and the US, writing in Nashville.
With a record-breaking single, a new lip gloss line, and multiple accolades and awards including her first JUNO (2015) nominations for Country Album of the Year and Breakthrough Artist of the Year… Jess Moskaluke (MDM Recordings Inc./Universal Music Canada) is dazzling the country music world. Her rapidly growing fan base is evident, with a collective online following in the millions, receiving her official Silver Play Button YouTube award for breaking 100,000 subscribers. She won her first 2014 Canadian Country Music Association® (CCMA®) award for Female Artist of the Year, in addition to receiving two additional nominations; Rising Star of the Year and Interactive Artist of the Year. A critically acclaimed artist, she was also crowned the 2011 CCMA® Awards New Artist Showcase winner.
A notable performer on the 2014 CCMA® Awards Show live broadcast, Jess dominates the stage with her powerful vocals, country-pop style and infectious smile. With this second single off of her new 10-track album Light Up The Night, she also achieved GOLD record status in August 2014; becoming the first Canadian female solo country artist to surpass 40,000+ downloads for a song since Shania Twain. She released her single “Used” in September 2014, followed by her latest single “Night We Won’t Forget” on January 30, 2015.
This award-winning songstress has recently toured Canada including performances at the Calgary Stampede, Boots and Hearts and the Big Valley Jamboree. Fans can look forward to Jess’ first national tour, as she opens for Chad Brownlee during the 2015 When The Lights Go Down Canadian tour in Oct.
Following the release of her new album, a ½ hour CMT Canada special, Jess Moskaluke Live at The Edison aired nationwide on April 21, 2014.
In celebration of the album release Jess partnered with Sexton In The City, and on the same date introduced her first ever make up line; a limited edition lip gloss collection aptly named Light Up The Night. A collaborative design between owner Natalie Sexton and Jess, the line features six colours, including the “Oh Jessie”. What initially began as a new online offering for her fans (providing make up and beauty tips through YouTube videos), eventually evolved into an exciting 2013 tour. Enjoying time with her fans performing intimate concerts for contest winners, while also giving make overs and beauty tips, Jess got to know her fans on a new, personal level. Organically, relationships grew following this venture, resulting in this new partnership.
