It’s Federal Election Day

Voting is underway on this federal election day with the polls in Cape Breton closing at 8:30 tonight.

There are four candidates running in the riding of Cape Breton-Canso.

Liberal Mike Kelloway is the incumbent, Fiona MacLeod is the Conservative candidate, Jana Reddick is running for the NDP and Brad Grandy is the People’s Party of Canada candidate.

Six people are on the ballot in Sydney-Victoria.

Jaime Battiste is the Liberal incumbent, Eddie Orrell is running for the Conservatives and Jeff Ward is the NDP candidate.

Also on the ballot is Ronald Barron with the People’s Party of Canada, Green Party candidate Mark Embrett and Nikki Boisvert with the Marxist Leninist Party.
