Isolation requirements come into effect today for everyone 12 and older who’s not fully vaccinated against COVID-19 coming into the province.
Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Robert Strang says children in that age group have had plenty of time to get vaccinated since the province started isolation requirements based on vaccination status back in June.
Today’s change means everyone 12 and older needs to have their own Safe Check-in form that reflects their vaccination status.
People who are fully vaccinated at least 14 days before arriving in the province don’t have to isolate, but testing is recommended.
People who are not fully vaccinated need to isolate for at least seven days and get two negative test results in Nova Scotia to stop isolating after seven days.
