Impaired Driving Arrest Near Cabot Trail Relay Finish Line

RCMP say a woman was arrested for impaired driving near the finish line of the Cabot Trail Relay in Baddeck, last weekend.

Police say the race safety officer called them about a woman driving her vehicle on the wrong side of the road.

They say she was taken to the Ingonish detachment where a breath test revealed she had blood alcohol level nearly two times the legal limit.

She’s now facing charges of impaired driving, and driving with a blood alcohol level over the legal limit.

She’s been released from custody and is due in Wagmatcook Provincial Court on July 4th.
