Ice Still Hampering Marine Atlantic

Pack ice continues to hamper the Marine Atlantic ferry schedule.

This morning’s scheduled arrival of the MV Highlanders in North Sydney has been delayed from 7:00 until 10:30.

Meanwhile, Marine Atlantic says a Coast Guard ice breaker will be available if the ferries get into trouble in the ice.

The MV Highlanders got stuck in ice just outside of Sydney Harbour on Tuesday and was later freed by its sister ship the Blue Puttees.
