Houston, Strang To Hold Briefing After Record Weekend Case Numbers

Premier Tim Houston and Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Robert Strang are giving another COVID-19 update today after the province reported record-breaking case numbers over the weekend.

1,184 cases were reported yesterday after 709 were reported on Saturday.

Of all of the cases reported over the weekend, 1,288 are in the Central Zone, with 244 in the Eastern Zone, 171 in the Northern Zone and 190 in the Western Zone.

The province didn’t give an update on the number of people in hospital with COVID-19 over the weekend.

34 people in the province were in hospital with the virus as of Friday.

Today’s briefing is scheduled for 2:00.
