Highlands Park Closed Until Further Notice

The back country and all trails at the Cape Breton Highlands National Park are closed until further notice.

The Skyline Trail will remain open. Warren Lake Beach will also stay open.

The Highlands Park front country and its campgrounds remain open.

There is also a partial fire ban throughout the park.

Parks Canada says in a press release the closures and fire bans are in support of the Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources travel restrictions to reduce the risk of wildfires in the province.
