Marine Atlantic has cancelled today’s ferry crossings from North Sydney and Port aux Basques with a gale warning in effect for the Cabot Strait.

This morning’s ferry crossings to PEI on the ferry MV Saaremaa are also cancelled because of high winds.

However, this morning’s 8:30 and today’s noon departures from Caribou on the MV Confederation are still going ahead.

High-sided vehicles and motorcycles are currently being kept off Confederation Bridge.

And, Parks Canada says the Skyline Trail in the Highlands National Park is closed today because of high winds.
