Heavy Garbage Collection Starts On May 30th

The Regional Municipality has announced the date for this year’s heavy garbage collection.

People are asked to have their large, heavy, or bulky household items by the side of the road no later than 6:00 in the morning on Monday, May 30th.

Items that will not be collected include electronics, all household hazardous waste including unused paint & empty paint cans as well as used oil & empty oil containers.

Propane tanks and propane cylinders, asphalt roofing shingles, vehicle parts and tires and large trees, stumps and branches will also not be collected.
