Heat Warning Remains In Effect

The Heat Warning remains in effect for all of Cape Breton and the mainland.

Environment Canada says maximum daytime temperatures will be between 29 and 33 degrees Celsius today and tomorrow with a Humidex between 36 and 40.

Meanwhile, the Health Authority says the best ways to prevent heat-related illnesses is to drink lots of liquids, limit physical exertion and limit activities to the early morning or evening.

It says people can also take advantage of air-conditioned spaces such as malls, stores or municipal cooling centres.
