Heat Warning Issued For NS

Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for the whole province.

It says maximum temperatures will be 29 to 33 degrees Celsius tomorrow with an inland humidex of 36 to 39.

The agency’s maximum temperature range for Thursday is 29-34 degrees with an inland humidex of 37 to 41.

People are being advised to drink water regularly and watch for early signs of heat illness such as fatigue, thirst and headache.

Children or pets should not be left inside a parked vehicle and all workers are being advised to take regularly scheduled breaks in a cool or shaded place.

Environment Canada says the warm conditions could continue into Friday and nighttime lows are expected to be fairly warm, limiting overnight cooling.
