Heat Warning In Effect For All Of Cape Breton

There’s a Heat Warning in effect for all of Cape Breton.

Environment Canada says maximum daytime temperatures will reach between 29 and 32 degrees Celsius through Sunday with a Humidex of between 34 and 40.

It will be cooler along parts of the coast.

The federal agency is advising people to drink plenty of water even before they feel thirsty and stay in a cool place.

It says heat warnings are issued when very high temperature or humidity conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, including heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
