Health Authority Warning About Long Waits In Emergency Departments

The Health Authority says it’s experiencing high patient volumes this week at hospitals in all zones.

It says patient waits in emergency departments may be long.

Nova Scotia Health is asking people not to hesitate to visit the emergency department if they’re experiencing an emergency.

It says people looking for non-urgent care should call their family doctor or visit a walk-in clinic.

The Health Authority says people can also make an appointment for non-life-threatening illnesses or injuries at Urgent Treatment Centres.
