Health Authority Seeking Volunteer Advisors

The provincial Health Authority is looking for volunteer patient and family advisors in its Eastern Zone that includes Cape Breton.

It says it’s looking for people who can use their experience with the health care system as a patient, family member, caregiver, or citizen to offer feedback in a number of areas.

Those include the Health Care Redevelopment Project in the Regional Municipality, as well as surgery and long-term care quality and patient flow in emergency departments.

More information on the volunteer positions can be found online at: nshealth.ca/pfa
