Health Authority Partners With Google Cloud

The provincial Health Authority has entered a partnership with computing services provider Google Cloud.

The partnership will see Nova Scotia Health work with experts from Google Cloud Consulting to bring about what the government calls three AI-driven healthcare solutions by the fall of next year.

The province says one solution will give people in the province advanced search capabilities using everyday language in the YourHealthNS app and on Nova Scotia Health websites.

Another solution will allow healthcare professionals to use a natural-language search for information in a patient’s health record, the government says will reduce time spent searching through patient records.

The third solution will see radiologists get preliminary imaging findings; the province says will improve efficiency.
