Health Authority Ending Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccinations For Workers

The Health Authority and IWK Health are lifting the requirement for employees to submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination starting on Monday.

Nova Scotia Health says the decision was made in response to evolving evidence about COVID-19, the Omicron sub-variants, protection from vaccine and a review of vaccination policies across other jurisdictions.

It’s confirming the change in policy after a letter to an employee was posted on social media, yesterday.

The letter says the worker who’s on unpaid leave for not meeting the COVID-19 vaccination requirements, can return to work by Monday.
