Hawks Field Among Recipients Of Recreation Funding

The Regional Municipality is getting $2 million from the province to support Phase 2 of the Hawks Dream Field project in Dominion.

The project aims to make the Hawk’s field fully accessible for baseball, soccer and other sports, with a number of other features including a walking track and a splash pad.

The second phase of the project will start in July and is expected to be complete by the spring of 2023.

The province also announced funding for two more local projects today.

The Two Rivers Wildlife Park in Huntington is getting $100,000 to maintain and upgrade its recreational areas, while Inverness County is getting $610,000 to build an outdoor multi-court recreation facility.
