Halifax Police Say Kaur’s Death Not Suspicious

Halifax Police say the death of the 19-year-old woman whose body was found in a large walk-in oven at the Mumford Road Walmart is not suspicious.

Gursimran Kaur was a Sikh woman originally from India and was an employee at the Walmart.

Police say there’s no evidence of foul play in Kaur’s death.

Kaur’s mother, who also works at the Walmart, discovered her daughter’s burnt body inside the oven on October 19^th.

Close to $200,000 has been raised for Kaur’s family through a GoFundMe page started by the Maritime Sikh Society.
