Halifax Company Answers New Waterford Church’s Prayers

A Halifax company has answered the prayers of a New Waterford church.

Earlier this fall, All Saints Memorial issued a public plea for help removing an old fence and shrubbery in their cemetery.

Church treasurer Shirley Kelly said aging parishioners couldn’t do the work that would allow them to get an 18-hundred dollar discount on the project that had gone up in price by 36-hundred since the original estimate.

However, Kelly now says when Maritime Fence learned about their plight the company stepped in and offered to do the entire 15-thousand dollar job, free of charge.

The Halifax manager of Maritime Fence Eric Levesque says when they heard about the congregation’s dilemma they just wanted to help.

Levesque adds two employees will start the work on October 26th.

Meanwhile, Kelly says volunteers have come forward to help remove the old shrubbery at the cemetery.
