Guilty Plea in North Sydney Fatal Stabbing

A 22-year-old North Sydney man has pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the stabbing death of another man, last year.

Cody Alexander Russell was originally charged with second-degree murder in the death of 26-year-old Stephen Tyler Chisholm.

Russell will now be sentenced on January 11th.

He was charged after Regional Police were called to Clifford Street in North Sydney in September of 2015.

Police say they found Chisholm on the ground, bleeding from his chest and not breathing.

He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
