Grief Counsellors at Memorial High, Today

Grief counsellors are at Memorial High in Sydney Mines today after a Point Aconi teen who was a student at the school died over the Christmas break.

The body of Kobe Clarence Pink was found below the cliffs in Sydney Mines on New Year’s Day.

His 16th birthday was yesterday.

The province’s Serious Incident Response Team has taken over the investigation into Pink’s death after he had been reported missing.

The police watch dog was called in after Regional Police discovered Pink was among a group of teens at a Sydney Mines home where police were called to break up a house party.

Police say a number of young people ran away from the Peck Street home when officers arrived.
