The Progressive Conservative Government is proposing legislative changes to stop people from protesting outside the homes of senior health officials and other health workers.
The move comes with two people facing charges after protesting outside the home of Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Robert Strang earlier this week.
The Justice Department says proposed changes to the Protecting Access to Health Services Act would establish a safe zone around the private homes of health officials to prevent them and their families from being harassed or intimidated.
The changes expand on legislation introduced last fall that established a safe zone around hospitals and other healthcare facilities.
