Glace Bay Man’s Death Ruled a Homicide

Regional Police say the death of a Glace Bay man earlier this month has been ruled a homicide.

Police say 51 year-old David Sheppard was assaulted in his home on Brookland Street on January 18th.

He was brought to the Regional Hospital in Sydney before being flown to hospital in Halifax where he died earlier this week.

Police say the case was ruled a homicide following an autopsy by the Medical Examiner.

No arrests have been made in the case.

Police are calling the attack an isolated incident.

They say their investigation continues.
