Glace Bay Man To Hear Assault Charge Decision on August 15

A Glace Bay man will learn his fate on his charges of assaulting a young child on August 15.

30-year-old Donald Richard McGrath is charged with assault causing bodily harm and aggravated assault.

The incident is said to have occurred between May and October 2014 in Glace Bay.

Supreme Court Justice Patrick Murray was scheduled to deliver the decision earlier this week but said he needed more time.

Evidence was delivered by numerous witnesses during the 10-day trial, including from the accused.

The child suffered brain damage and other severe injuries.
