Glace Bay Man Leaves Regional Hospital Foundation $200,000 In His Will

The Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation says a Glace Bay man has left it $200,000 in his will.

Patrick (Patty/Paddy) Burns died in August of last year.

Burns has requested $100,000 dollars of the donation go to the Regional Hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit.

The other $100,000 is going to the hospital’s new Cancer Centre.

The Hospital Foundation says two of Burns’ grandchildren were born prematurely and spent weeks in the neonatal intensive care unit and one of his brothers died from cancer.
