Glace Bay Man and His Aunt Win Margaree Chase the Ace

A Glace Bay man will share the 1.2 million-dollar Margaree Chase the Ace jackpot with his aunt.

Tyrone MacInnis and Barb Reddick from Guysborough won the grand prize in last night’s draw with just two cards left in the deck.

The lottery was a fundraiser for both the Margaree and Northeast Margaree volunteer fire departments

The Margaree draw is the fourth time a chase the ace jackpot has grown to more than a million dollars in Cape Breton.

The Chase the Ace craze began in Inverness in 2015 when Donelda MacAskill from Englishtown claimed a $1.7 million jackpot.

The largest jackpot of 2.9 million went in Sydney in 2016.
