Glace Bay House Fire Under Investigation

The fire marshal will be back on the scene today to investigate the cause of a dramatic house fire in Glace Bay..

 

Six members of an extended family suffered minor injuries after they escaped the blaze at 41 Dragatis Street, early yesterday morning.

 

Six people, including a 5 month old baby were inside.

 

Two were forced to jump from a second floor window.

 

All six were treated for smoke inhalation and three were treated for burns.

 

Two were hospitalized.

 

Firefighters got the call to the blaze in the older, two-story home at around 1:30.

 

The Red Cross is helping the family with temporary lodging and emergency supplies.
