Glace Bay House Fire

The Red Cross says a couple and their eight-year-old grandson escaped unhurt after a mid-afternoon fire at a bungalow in Glace Bay, yesterday afternoon.

It adds Red Cross volunteers have arranged emergency lodging, food, clothing and other support for all three.

The fire at 4 Hector Street was reported at around 3:00 and the Red Cross says the home was extensively damaged.

There’s no word on the cause of the blaze.
