Glace Bay Christmas Parade saved

Glace Bay’s annual Christmas parade is back on, thanks to the Glace Bay Minor Hockey Association.

Association president James Edwards says the Glace Bay Fire Department has supported minor hockey in many ways, and he felt it was time to return the favour.

Edwards says the parents, grandparents, executive members and more from the minor hockey association will be volunteering, lining the parade route and keeping an eye out for the young ones.

The Glace Bay Fire Department had cancelled the parade due to new rules that require more volunteers.

The parade will take place on November 30th at 2 pm.
