An event this afternoon at Glace Bay’s Old Town Hall offers a unique look into the past.
A time capsule, created in 1988 by grade 6 students at Glace Bay Central School, will be opened this afternoon after over three decades.
The time capsule project was initiated to mark the school’s 100th anniversary; the school was built in 1921.
Former mayor Bruce Clark will be on hand, as well as his son, Jamie, who was one of the students who put the time capsule together.
The opening will take place in the Court Room of the Old Town Hall between 2 and 4 PM.
