GB High Assault Accused Back In Court Next Month

One of eight Glace Bay High students charged after a 42 year-old man was attacked in October is now due back in court next month.

18-year-old Christopher Alexander Cameron from Dominion is charged with assault in the case.

A hearing on the charge was adjourned today at the request of Cameron’s lawyer.

Cameron continues his release until his next court appearance on February 16th.

Seven other Glace Bay High students have pleaded guilty to charges of assault and will go through restorative justice.

The students were charged after a video surfaced online showing a group of teens punching and kicking a man on a footpath between Glace Bay High and Superstore.

Regional Police say the man who was attacked was treated for minor injuries at the scene.
