It says the price of diesel will not be affected.
The prediction comes after the price of oil went over a hundred dollars US per barrel today.
A litre of gas is now selling for a minimum of $1.54.6 in Cape Breton.
Diesel now sells for a minimum of $2.18.4 cents a litre on the island.
