Analysts are predicting a small increase in the price of gas this week.
However, the price of diesel isn’t expected to change much or go up by a smaller amount than gas.
Meanwhile, the price of gas in Newfoundland and Labrador went up by 1.1 cents a litre, last night.
Diesel there edged up by either three-tenths or four-tenths of a cent, depending on the region.
Gas now goes for a minimum of $1.51.3 in Cape Breton.
The minimum price for a litre of diesel on the Island is now $1.87.5.
