Gas Predicted to Go Up, This Week

At least one analyst is forecasting a jump in gas prices this week.

Meanwhile, the price of gas and diesel went up in New Brunswick, last night.

Gas there rose by 2.3 cents a litre while diesel took a whopping 5.5 cent a litre increase.

Diesel in Nova Scotia already went up this week when this province’s utility and review board invoked its interrupter clause, after midnight on Tuesday.

The 6.4 cent a litre increase pushed the minimum price for diesel in Cape Breton to $1.52.6.

A UARB spokesperson says tonight’s regular weekly price adjustment for diesel is still expected to occur on top the interruption.

Meanwhile the minimum price for gas in Cape Breton is currently $1.34.2.
