Gas edged up slightly by 1.4 cents a litre and now goes for a minimum of $1.36.4 in Cape Breton.
Diesel took a big jump of 5.3 cents after the Energy Board used the interrupter clause earlier this week to raise the price of diesel by 6.7 cents a litre.
The minimum price for a litre of diesel on the Island is now $1.81.3.
