Gas and Diesel Prices Take Big Dip

The price of gas took another big dip last night after already falling 5.1 cents a litre, this week.

Gas dropped by 4.4 cents a litre and now goes for a minimum of $100.6 in Cape Breton.

Diesel also took a big drop, falling 5.5 cents a litre.

The minimum price for a litre of diesel in Cape Breton is now 92.6 cents.

The Utility and Review Board used the interrupter clause to slash gas prices overnight on Tuesday in the wake of falling world oil prices and stock markets.

However, the price of oil rose 10 percent yesterday as stock markets rebounded.
