Gas And Diesel Make Big Price Jumps

The price of gas went up by more than predicted overnight and has set a new record high.

Gas jumped by 10.1 cents a litre and now goes for a minimum of $1.68.5 a litre in Cape Breton.

Diesel took an even bigger jump of 17.1 cents after the price was already raised 6.6 cents this week.

The minimum price for a litre of diesel on the Island is now $1.85.6.
