Funeral Today For Arleen MacNeil

A funeral will take place at 2:00 this afternoon for the lone survivor of the 1992 Sydney River McDonald’s murders.

Arleen MacNeil was left permanently disabled when she was shot in the head during the robbery.

 The 46 year-old died on Wednesday from cancer at the Halifax Infirmary.

MacNeil lived for many years at a home in Bridgewater for people with brain injuries.

Her funeral mass will take place at St. Joseph’s Church in Little Bras d’Or.

29 year-old Neil Burroughs Junior, 27 year-old James Fagan and 22 year-old Donna Warren were killed in the botched robbery.
