Funeral For Leon Dubinsky Being Held This Afternoon

A funeral for Leon Dubinsky is taking place this afternoon.

The Cape Breton songwriter, musical director, actor, and teacher died on Tuesday at the age of 81.

He wrote what many people call the unofficial anthem of Cape Breton, “We Rise Again.”

The service is scheduled to get underway at 1:30 at Sydney Memorial Chapel.

It will be live-streamed on the Sydney Memorial Chapel Facebook page.
