An online fundraiser has been set up for a family of six who were injured in a serious accident in Richmond County on Sunday.
Daniel and Rikki Boneschansker and their four young children were on their way to a candlelight service while visiting family when their van hit a car on Highway 104 near the community of Whiteside.
RCMP say the six suffered injuries ranging from serious to life-threatening, while the 28-year-old New Brunswick man driving the car was also thought to have suffered life-threatening injuries.
There’s been no update on his condition.
A GoFundMe page says some of the Boneschansker family is recovering in Cape Breton while Rikki is in hospital in Halifax.
The fundraising campaign has increased its goal from 7,500 to 10,000 dollars, and over 8,000 has been raised so far.
