Funding Announced For People With Diabetes

The province announced this morning it plans to help people with diabetes pay for sensor-based glucose monitoring supplies.

Under the program, people with an annual household income of less than $60,000 won’t have to pay anything.

People with household incomes between $60,000 and $150,000 will pay a deductible between $500 and $1,000.

The program will be open to people with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes.

The province is also expanding the Insulin Pump Program by removing the age cap that now stands at under the age of 26.
