Funding Announced For Highland Village

The Highland Village in Iona is getting a $1.5 million upgrade.

It’s part of the province’s $7 million package for projects at 11 museums in Nova Scotia.

The Highland Village’s first upgrade in 20 years includes a new welcome centre, new washrooms, landscaping and signage.

The village’s director, Rodney Chiasson, says the work will improve the experience for visitors while preserving and sharing a unique Gaelic history and heritage with people from within and outside of the province.
