Funding Announced For Gaelic College Expansion

Ottawa has announced about $958,000 in funding to help the Gaelic College in St. Ann’s expand its programming to Mabou.

The money will be used to renovate the former St. Joseph’s Convent and Renewal Centre into a satellite campus that will be called Beinn Mhàbu or Mabou Hill College.

The funding comes through ACOA’s Innovative Communities Fund.

The project is expected to create 17 full-time jobs, and classes are expected to be offered starting in September of next year.
