Funding Announced For Coal Town Trail

Cape Breton Canso MP Mike Kelloway announced 30-thousand dollars in federal money today for the Coal Town Trail Society.

The trail runs from Gardiner Mines through Dominion and Glace Bay and is about 13 kilometres long.

Kelloway says the Society will use the money to build two rest areas along the trail with benches and bike racks.

He says the addition of the rest areas will help turn the route into a multiuse trail for walkers, cyclists, skiers and snowshoers to ATV and horseback riders.
