Funding Announced For Baddeck Wharf

The three levels of government announced nearly $1.2 million today to make repairs to the wharf in Baddeck.

596,000 dollars is coming from Develop Nova Scotia with 484,000 coming from the federal government and 60,000 from Victoria County.

The Village of Baddeck is kicking in 20,000 and another 20,000 is coming from community donations.

The repairs are expected to extend the wharf’s working life by 25 years.
