by Souls Harbour Rescue Mission is offering free Thanksgiving turkey dinners at all its locations in the province today, including its Sydney Mines location.
The dinners for needy men, women and children are being served from noon until 2:00 this afternoon.
They feature oven roasted turkey, homemade dressing and cranberry chutney along with sweet potato casserole and mashed potatoes with pumpkin pie for dessert.
Souls Harbour says with so many people sleeping rough and the cost of food rising every day, Thanksgiving is a powerful reminder of community support.
