Former Regional Mayor and MLA David Muise Has Died

Former Regional Mayor and MLA David Muise has died at the age of 68.

Muise died this morning after a battle with prostate cancer.

He served as Mayor of the Regional Municipality from 1997 to 2000.

From 1978 to ‘81 he was the Liberal MLA for Cape Breton West.

Muise was born in Sydney and went on to graduate from Mount Allison University and Dalhousie University Law School.

He practised law for more than 40 years.
