Former Regional Councillor Gordon MacLeod Has Died

Former Regional Councillor and Deputy Mayor Gordon MacLeod has died at the age of 87.

MacLeod’s obituary says he died last Thursday after a two-year struggle with heart problems.

He served three terms as the councillor for District 2 and also chaired the Police Commission during his time on Regional Council.

MacLeod’s funeral is scheduled to take place at St. Giles Presbyterian Church in North Sydney at 2:00 on Thursday afternoon.

Seating will be limited because of COVID-19 and the service will be live-streamed on the Dooley Funeral Home Facebook page.
