Former Premier Roger Bacon Dies

Former premier Roger Bacon has died at the age of 95.

Premier Tim Houston says Bacon died, last night.

Bacon was first elected to the House of Assembly in 1970 and was a longtime minister of agriculture.

He also served as minister of tourism, housing, environment and deputy premier.

He served as premier from 1990 to 1991.
