Food Bank To Get $2,000 Cheque from Seaside, Today

A cheque presentation ceremony will take place at the Glace Bay Food bank today after Seaside Communications won two categories in a national contest.

Seaside picked up the Canadian Cable Systems Alliance award for Best customer service story and the Best community channel programming for its show “Easy Eats.”

The company named the Food Bank as its charity of choice.

As a result, the Glace Bay facility will be getting 2-thousand dollars.

The cheque presentation is due to take place at noon.
